Triton-X-100 Detergent 

Triton-X-100 is a commonly used detergent in laboratories and is widely used to lyse cells to extract protein or organelles, or to permeabilize the membranes of living cells.

Infra-Red Analyser detergent Solution

Triton X is a popular detergent for the cleaning of flow systems in infrared analysers such as FTIR, Mid InfraRed and Near InfraRed which are widely used in laboratories for quality control analysis in a wide range of industries including food and beverage, dairy, water, life sciences.

A concentrate triton X solution can be utilised to clean flow systems and measuring cells of proteins and living cells and set base / zero levels prior to measurement. Instruments using Triton-X in the dairy industry include FTIR Lactoscope from Perten for dairy product analysis and the mid infrared analyser Lactoscope for milk and cream dairy products.

• • Reducing surface tension of aqueous solutions during immunostaining (usually at a concentration of 0.1-0.5% in TBS or PBS Buffer)

Apart from laboratory use, Triton X can be found in several types of cleaning compounds, ranging from heavy-duty industrial products to gentle detergents. Other non denaturing detergents include Tween 20 and NP40.
