Description
Eclipse FARM 3G
Eclipse Farm 3G helps you screen more than 50 antibiotics belonging to 8 classes with just one drop of milk, thus avoiding milk rejections upon arrival at the plant, as well as problems in the production of fermented dairy products, in addition to complying with the maximum residue limits established in milk by the European Union.
PRINCIPLE OF THE TEST
ECLIPSE is a test based on the inhibition of the growth of the bacterium Geobacillus stearothermophilus. In a specific culture medium and under suitable conditions, the spores of this bacterium germinate and multiply acidifying the medium, which causes a change in the colour of the culture medium from blue to yellow. If the milk sample contains a concentration of antimicrobials above the detection limit of the test, bacterial growth is inhibited and therefore the colour change of the medium will not occur.
