CleanTrust ATP Surface Swab
Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is an organic compound that provides energy for many cellular
processes in living organisms. It is found in animals, plants, bacteria, fungi, and food residues. When
cells are lysed, ATP is released and reacts with luciferin and luciferase in the presence of Mg2+ and
oxygen, producing oxyluciferin and emitting fluorescence.
